Hi I'm Susan Hill

I grew up in Seattle Washington USA but have lived in Montana for 43 years. I have six children and I am an RN. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother, grandmother, sister, friend. I love to sew and quilt, grow a garden-both flower and vegetable. I used to can all our fruits and vegetables, but now I only make jam. I am an RN. I graduated from the University of Washington a long time ago. I retired as a senior manager/Director of Nursing in a rural hospital two years ago. My specialty is Labor and Delivery. I have 17 grandchildren who live coast to coast and love to spend time with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church all my life. My mother is a convert, my father a life-long member. I gained my testimony of the Gospel as a teenager. Reading the Book of Mormon for the first time was a tender moment in my life and I gained a deep testimony of its truth at that time. I have read and studied it many times. It has been a force for good in my life and has answered many questions for me. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior; I know that He atoned for my sins, that He is always there to help me through the hard, challenging times and to lift me up. Our Heavenly Father's plan is the "plan of happiness" and helps me to understand why I am here, where I've been and where I am going. This is the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in the women's organization as a counselor in the presidency. I am also a Family History Consultant. I serve in the family history library 4 hours/week and teach a class in family history on Sundays. I absolutely love searching for and finding my ancestors. I have spent many years serving in the Young Women's organization in various callings including serving as camp nurse on many occasions. In my community, I'm on the Board of Directors for a halfway home for ladies transitioning from our state mental hospital. We help these ladies adjust to independent living. I am also a breast cancer survivor and assist in a breast cancer support group.
