Hi I'm Anna

I am a proud Colorado girl. I love to ski, write, and play the piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado and feel most at home in the mountains. I am currently a college student studying Political Science and hope to attend Law School to study civil rights law. I want to travel the world and teach English to those with limited resources in third-world countries. My ultimate goal is to be a loving wife and mother who teaches those around her to serve countries in need. I am passionate about the gospel, writing, and skiing. I am the oldest of three daughters who have awesome, loving parents. I was recently called to serve a full-time mission in Bacolod, Philippines.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because through the gospel I have found happiness and peace when I needed it the most. I grew up in the church and always felt at home. However, I have times when I struggle to find happiness. At one point, I let my sadness consume me and I began to isolate myself from everything that I once loved. I began to lose all confidence in myself, becoming my worst critic. Then one day I had an epiphany: if I trusted and believed Heavenly Father more than myself, why was I letting my thoughts and opinions overpower His. In that moment I realized that I was a Daughter of God. I was important and I had purpose. My Heavenly Father loves me always, no matter what. I understand that while I have trials, I need to choose to try and be happy, trusting that Heavenly Father will be there for me when I do. He always is. Every time I begin to doubt myself or fall back into a bad habit, I feel the strength of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father lifting me back up and putting me back where I need to be. I am able to feel this comfort because of what the gospel brings into my life. Ultimately, I am a Mormon because I love Christ. I want to follow him and provide ways for others to follow him as well.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving everyone, no matter what. I believe the most important principle Jesus Christ taught is love. I have a goal to always exude love and happiness so that others are drawn to me and ask me why I am so happy. I strive to invite others unto Christ and do everything in my power to be a positive force in someone's life, not a negative one. I live my faith by practicing what I preach.
