Hi I'm Savannah Ruesch

I'm 18 years old. I'm a cosmetologist. I'm a future missionary for the people of Salt Lake City Utah. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Nevada and lived there until I was 12, then I moved to Colorado. When I was 15 my family moved again to Oklahoma which is my current home. Moving was not easy but it was a great experience for my family. In high school I played volleyball, was involved with skills USA, NTHS, and I spent my summers working at a Christian day camp. I am the second oldest of four girls. I have always loved doing hair. Probably because I grew up with only sisters. I went to cosmetology school while I was in high school. Now I am a licensed cosmetologist and cut hair in a super cute salon in the town I live in. I love to eat, workout, spend time with my friends and family, and babysit. I plan to serve an 18 month mission for my church starting at the end of June this year.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. My parents always encouraged me to go to church and lead by example by going every Sunday. I always had the choice to go to church or not so when I was 16 I choose to sleep in and do other things on Sunday. When I began to feel more negative than usual I had a personal conversion and wanted to go to church again with my family. I am Mormon because the teachings of the church bring me comfort and peace. I always make better choices and I am happy when I am living in accordance with the gospel.

How I live my faith

I am currently the personal progress coordinator for my ward. Personal progress is a tool for the young women to learn there purpose in life. It is also a way for them to continue to grow. I help out by taking time to individually meet with the young women to see the needs they may have and then checking off the values and/or projects they complete. I also will substitute Sunday school classes when I am needed. I live my faith by always doing my best to be kind and find ways to serve others around me.
