Hi I'm Loryn Hollis

I grew up in South Mississippi. I attended college for two years, and now I am going on a mission in Rome, Italy.

About Me

I love to sing, dance, and act. I have performed on stage for many years. I am taking a break from college and performing to serve in Rome, Italy for 18 months. I am the oldest of five children and was the only Mormon in my high school class. I was the only Mormon at the community college I attended for the last two years also. I live in an area where being a good example of the gospel is critical for church growth. Everyone knows I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have faith. I was born into this religion so I have always attended sacrament meetings, primary, youth, and YSA activities. I have had my testimony grow so much while I attended community college. I saw the way others lived and how unhappy they were. I was able to be a light to some and it strengthened my testimony tremendously. I have faith that this is the true gospel. I know that I would not be where I am today without it. It has brought so much happiness to my life and my family’s life. There are so many divine blessings it brings into my life daily. I know that Joseph Smith restored this gospel and that Jesus Christ died for our sins. I love this gospel.

How I live my faith

I have always been involved in the primary and nursery in my ward. I also was the YSA stake representative. I helped as a recruiter for the college I attended. I also participated in theatrical performances in my community. I was able to tell others about my religion through all my experiences in the community. I was chosen to represent my college in the Hall of Fame.
