Hi I'm Stephanie

I'm a mom. I'm a nurse. I enjoy being outside in the sunshine. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother. I enjoy spending time with my family. I enjoy being outside in the sunshine--summer is the best time for that. I do love to swim as well. I also enjoy cooking--it's planning what to eat and cleaning up after that can be a chore ;) I am grateful for the gospel in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony the Christ's church has been restored on the earth today. I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God and that he translated the Book of Mormon so that we can read it today. The Book of Mormon is true--it brings peace into my life. I have felt the Spirit in my life--leading, guiding, warning, and helping me along my way. When I do what is right--what God has asked us to do--I feel happier. I love the peace the temple brings, it is a special place. The temple is a place where we can go to feel closer to the Lord and to take a break from the world. Peace and light are in the temple. I know God loves His children, and I know that I am a child of God. I know I am not perfect and I am so grateful for Jesus Christ. He performed the Atonement for us so that we can be forgiven of our sins. I also know the Atonement is not just so we can be forgiven of sins--we can use the Savior's Atonement when we need comfort and strength. I know that families can be together forever. I am happy I am a Mormon, because I have hope for the future and I know why I am here on earth.

How I live my faith

I recently received a calling in my ward to be in Primary. So on Sundays I am with the children. We have singing time and sharing time (when we teach a lesson). Once a month I get to prepare the lesson for sharing time. I have to make sure I keep the lesson simple for the young children, and also fun so they can stay engaged. I strive to read the Book of Mormon everyday. I know that as I do that I feel happier and have better days. Prayer is also a great way to find peace. When I am feeling anxious or nervous, praying can help calm me down.
