Hi I'm Coleman Gardner

I'm a videographer from Las Vegas, Nevada. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a videographer. I love to video me and my friends skateboarding. It's a real passion of mine. I also take frequent trips to Southern California to go surfing. I guess you could say that I LOVE to have fun in the sun. At the moment I'm attending school up at BYU-Idaho and am studying Business Management. One day I hope to be a small business owner of a surf/ skate shop in Las Vegas (my hometown).

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in this church. I was blessed to have two parents that loved each other and loved God even more. But just because I was raised in the church does not mean I didn't try to find out if this church or the Book of Mormon was true. It was actually a very long process of me questioning whether the prophets in the church were truly called of God. I did a lot of praying, and a lot of fasting. I eventually found my answer in pieces: in the mountains, in the desert, and in the ocean. It was something about being all alone and surrounded by God's authentic creations that I was able to receive the answers to my questions. God really does speak to His children in modern days; you just have to put yourself in situations and mindsets where you can receive answers. God is real. And that is why I am a member of this church. All of His children are all entitled to receiving personal revelation; and I think that is so beautiful. Every time I go to these certain locations, 'sites for answers' is what I like to call them, I feel God's love and peace. I know in those moments that there is a God, and that this is His fully restored gospel.

How I live my faith

I do not have a calling up in Rexburg, Idaho in my student 'YSA' ward. But in my home ward I was the Youth Family History Consultant. At the moment I am preparing to serve a mission in the Virginia Chesapeake Mission, Spanish speaking.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Coleman Gardner
Joseph Smith was the first prophet that God called to help restore His church after 'the Apostasy' (a period of time where the fullness of the gospel was taken from the earth). Joseph endured many things throughout his life to help God restore the fullness of the gospel. He had to flee from angry mobs a many of times. He was tarred and feathered in front of his wife and children. He had some of his children die in his arms. Joseph had to follow commandments that God asked of him that he didn't want to (polygamy). And he was murdered with his own brother and friends. He had endured many things in order to fulfill God's will. Yet he never denied that the church was true, and he never denied that the Book of Mormon was the word of God. He never did. And that is why we see our modern-day prophet as an example to follow, but in no way do we worship him. We only worship God, and not man, no matter how great of God's followers they may be. We do not worship man or substance or anything but God. Show more Show less
