Hi I'm Sherri

I am from the Southeast, currently living in North Alabama in the Heart of Dixie and The Bible Belt". I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am recently married to my sweetheart of nearly 20 years and he is a new member of the church. I've been a member for nearly 40 years. I've been a single parent and experienced the ups and downs of life that so many of us go through.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Holy Ghost has borne witness to me of the truthfulness of the things taught in this church. Many questions I had as a child that went long unanswered were finally answered as I learned about the doctrines of the church. How else could the American Indians have known about a "great white God that promised to return" if they had not been visited by the resurrected Christ? They were the "sheep of another fold" the Savior mentioned to his apostles. I am a Mormon because I believe the Bible. I believe God sends angels to minister unto His children, I believe he sent his son to atone for our sins and that Christ lives today as a resurrected being. I take comfort in knowing Heavenly Father has not forsaken us and has restored the Gospel to the Earth and that Jesus Christ is the head of the church. I believe He has called apostles to be His representatives upon the Earth today and they serve as the general authorities of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I hold an administrative office in the women's organization of the church concentrating on the educational aspects of the group. I assist teachers, help schedule classes and assist the organization's president with anything she requires to make sure the ladies in our unit are cared for both temporally and spiritually. It is a very fulfilling calling. In the community, I have a full-time job with at a juvenile probation office.

What is faith?

Sherri
Faith is hope for things which are not seen and it is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His promises that give me strength and stability in today's world. Show more Show less
