Hi I'm Gentry

I am from Lindon, Utah. I am attending school to become a nurse. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up playing sports, in a very athletic household. I love to play soccer, run, hike, and explore the mountains of Utah. I am currently in attendance at Utah Valley University for Nursing. I currently work as a CNA, and I love my job.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon. I love it. I know that this church is true. I was born into the LDS church, and raised by parents that nurtured the Mormon lifestyle. I am so grateful that I am part of an organization that shows so much love and support others. As I got older my decision to commit to the church 100% was easy because I could see the happiness that it brought my parents and family. This church brings so much happiness and peace into my life, through Jesus Christ I find strength to go through trials. I can face absolutely anything, and still feel love and peace from my Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching primary children the truths of the gospel. I also visit teach with a companion and I serve those in my ward when they are in need. I served on Seminary council in High School, and I invited others to come unto Christ. The best way however, that I live my faith is being an honest example, and being friendly to others.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

The Atonement is a culmination of the suffering that the Savior experienced in the Garden of Gethsemane, as well as on the cross. This event is a first hand representation of the love that our Savior has for each and everyone of us. The Atonement enables us to return to Him again someday. I know that this is a true gospel, and I know that through the Atonement we can be cleansed. It was required that someone payed the price, somebody that would love us and provide us with the agency to choose for ourselves. And that person was Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
