Hi I'm Nancy Black

I'm a mom of girls. I'm a positive thinker. I love to find the joy in all things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom of 5 girls. That should tell something right there! Laughing and having fun are imperative to me. My full-time career has been creating a home environment of learning, responsibility, love and fun! I try to find the joy in all situations. I'm a writer, a reader, book keeper, bee keeper, piano player, game player. I love nature, art, museums, shopping, theater and being with amazing people. My husband is my best friend. We have 10 grandchildren...........so far!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon church, but learned as a young adult, that we all must be personally converted. Growing up it was easy to take the church for granted and I am grateful that I was able to discover on my own, that I am an individual daughter of a loving Heavenly Father who takes an interest in my life and knows me; who has created a plan for me to have joy and happiness, and that covenanting with him is for my freedom and protection. I have developed an absolute solid belief that the Book of Mormon is truth and was written for us in our day. It speaks and testifies of Christ. I am constantly amazed and still learning of the magnitude of the Savior's love for each one of us and how relying on him is the only sure thing.

How I live my faith

I have served in many areas in my church. From the children, to the youth, to the adult women. I have been president of our women's organization and developed such a love and respect for the diversity of women. I have yet to meet one I haven't learned something from. I have more recently served in the youth leadership and see strength and power in the youth of today. I find that when I fully commit to whatever responsibility I am given, I end up having a fantastic experience. I love lifting others and helping them to see their best selves. I try to use gospel principles as an example for all areas of my life.
