Hi I'm Robbie

I grew up in Orem, Utah. I love to get involved in student council, sports, piano, and choir. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a senior in a high school in Utah. I have always loved to sing and play the piano. I grew up in a chaotic home with seven older siblings that I love dearly. I am now the only child at home, but I am lucky to get to spend so much time with my parents. I love to stay active by running every day, and playing basketball and football. I love getting involved in student council at my school; I have been a part of student government since seventh grade. I was recently admitted into Brigham Young University which is where I plan to attend after I complete my two year LDS Mission in Mexico which I'm leaving to on June 19th. I have been blessed with a great family and friends which support me in all that I do. I look forward to the future and all that God has in store for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into the church. That doesn't, however, mean that I didn't choose to be a part of it. Even though I grew up as a Mormon, when I was eight years old, I chose to be baptized a member of the church. Every day since then, I have chosen to live church standards. I still make a daily conscious decision to follow Christ's teachings. The biggest reason I choose to follow Christ's church to this day, is from the blessings that come from it. I still experience trials and hardships, but I always find hope in turning to the savior. I believe that this is the only completely true church on the earth. Every church has some wonderful truth to it, but my church is blessed with the proper authority and doctrines. All of the standards that I follow may be unique, but they bless me with the best life I can possibly have. Many commandments seem restricting to outsiders, but as you live them, they truly open up your life to so much happiness. I love the gospel and I hope that as I live according to church standards, I can motivate others to do the same.

How I live my faith

Getting involved in my church brings me so much joy. My current calling is the Primary Chorister which is the group containing all children under the age of twelve. I enjoy preparing fun music and activities every other week for the children. I used to serve in the presidency of my different quorums. I was in three different quorums from age twelve to eighteen and I often helped plan different weekly activities and camp-outs to help bring our group of boys closer together. I have been blessed to home teach many different families. I am at my best when I am used as an instrument in the Lord's hands, and home teaching allows me to do that. One of the things I focus on as I "live my faith" is to lead by example. I have the opportunity to serve as president of my school. I strive to live a life similar to Jesus Christ's so I can help lead others to the gospel. I always keep my family at the top of my priority list; spending time with them brings me the best kind of joy.
