Hi I'm Georgia

I grew up in Utah. I am a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Utah native reared on a small farm in Centerville, Utah. I married a wonderful man and we are the parents of eight children including twin sons and a physically and mentally challenged daughter. My pride and joy are my children, 29 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. All of my children have a love of music and play musical instruments and enjoy singing. I am deeply grateful for the blessings of a beautiful, intelligent, compassionate, hard working, fun posterity. I received my Bachelor Degree from WSU in Early Childhood with emphasis on Children at Risk. I love serving in various community activities and church callings.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents taught the gospel to me as a young child. My testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ was planted deep within my heart at a young age. I was baptized at the age of 8 and I remember my baptism as if it was yesterday. The feelings that I have for the Savior and our Heavenly Father are very dear and precious to me. I know that my Savior lives. I know that He is the Son of God and that He accomplished everything that He was asked to do by our Heavenly Father. He was the only pure and sinless man who could do this. He did it because of His great love for us. What he accomplished for us through the atonement is the most important thing that has ever occurred throughout all time. The atonement was accomplished to help us overcome physical and spiritual death and to empower us to be able to become exalted. The atonement was accomplished after He was falsely tried and convicted and beaten. He suffered for all mankind in the Garden of Gethsemane. He bled from every pore and suffered not only for all our sins but all our sicknesses and pains and then was betrayed by one of his apostles. Still, He was patient in all his afflictions. His resurrection is a gift to me and to you because of His great love for us. The Plan of Salvation is truly a plan of happiness made possible because of the Savior. Our families are so very important. I know that if we are obedient to the covenants we make through the sealing power in the Holy Temple, we can be together forever in the eternities to progress, to bask in His love, to be taught by the master teacher, and to continue to learn and grow and become all that we and He desires of us to be. I know these things to be true from the teachings of the scriptures, my parents, apostles, prophets and leaders, and the confirmation the Holy Ghost. I bear this witness and my testimony in His name, Jesus Christ, Amen

How I live my faith

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. Besides teaching my own children about the gospel through the years I have taught children, youth, and women in various callings. Planning uplifting activities for all ages is very fulfilling. Teaching leadership skills, planning girls camp, quilting, service projects, preparing future missionaries and a few of the ways that I have served.
