Hi I'm Madeline Rose Shirley

I’m a missionary, ukulele player, and a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second oldest in my family of five children. I am an animal lover, but unfortunately allergic to most of them. I have participated in a Temple Cultural Celebration. In High School I’ve worked with special need individuals for four years and have gone to a various activities and prom with them. Now, I am assisting at an elderly resident home and get to spend time with these wonderful folks in their final days. I love serving. It helps me create lasting friendships and come closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ. In my free time, I love to strum my ukulele and paint with acrylic and watercolor. These hobbies allow me to brighten mine and others’ days. I am a college student studying Microbiology to further my education in biological research. I am fascinated by God’s creation of the human body and the elements that make up the fabric of the world around me. Currently, I am preparing to leave for the Lubbock, Texas Mission for a period of 18 months. I am also a daughter of God and I know this church is true.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I have obtained a personal witness of the Book of Mormon and testimony of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I have felt the power of the spirit as I have attended and participated in church activities; such as, Girls Camp, Trek, Stake Youth Conference, Stake Conferences, Seminary, Mutual, Temple trips, Baptisms, and missionary work. I love my family and whole heartily support the Family Proclamation. The gospel has brought peace into my life and has provided a way for me to truly live with joy and happiness in all that I do and go through. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and support him as a disciple of Christ. I love the aspects of the gospel and the light it brings into our lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by first trusting in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I try my hardest to be kind and to put others needs before my own. I remember my covenants and the commandments my Father in Heaven has set before me. Most importantly, I keep them by living my standards inside and outside of church. I love everyone around me and hope to simply serve by being their friend. I love this gospel and hope to continue to follow Christ and be his disciple.
