Hi I'm McKenzie Sagers

I am from Utah. I am called to serve in the Dallas, TX mission from June 2018 to December 2019. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently going to school in order to eventually teach history! I have played sports all growing up, and really enjoy kicking around a soccer ball. I love to make cookies, but I also enjoy running and being active. I like to read books (although it has been more of textbooks lately), and online shopping is my weakness.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the hope and joy I find in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I grew up in the church, and have learned stories from the Book of Mormon and Bible ever since I was little. I didn't always understand what the gospel is about, but as I got older (and wiser) I realized that much of what "being a Mormon" is is seeing the good in things and striving to live as Chrsit taught and did. Joy often comes from being kind and charitable to others, as Jesus Christ was. Other gospel principles, such as our belief in life after death, allows me to have hope for the future and an overall understanding of why we are here. As I have studied these principles I have felt of their truth and cling to concepts they present. I am a Mormon because of the opportunity to be happy, to have a knowledge of life, and to have hope because of that knowledge.

How I live my faith

I currently attend church with a bunch of other young, single adult. I have the privilege of being a family home evening group leader (aka mom) that gets a group of my friends and acquaintances together on monday nights, while we're all living away from home, and do activities and eat cookies (of course). In between batches of cookies for my makeshift "family", I am preparing to teach the gospel as a missionary for the church by doing a little bit of extra gospel studying and trying to turn more towards the basic principles taught in the church.
