Hi I'm Logan Sherman

On April 25th 2018 I will be serving a mission in Quito Ecuador. I'm glad to be a Mormon!

About Me

I am currently enrolled at BYU Idaho, but will be taking a two year break to go on a Mission to Quito, Ecuador. I love going to the movie theaters and will watch all genres of movies. I will always root for my Florida teams The Tampa Bay Buc's, The Miami Heat, and The Florida State Seminoles before any other. I'm huge into superhero movies, Lord of The Rings, and Harry Potter! Other then that, I'm just the average guy who loves his family and his friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am actually one of the first generations in my family to grow up in the church. As a kid my testimony greatly piggy backed off of my fathers and the great love he had for this church. And I remember him always telling me that he knew this Gospel to be true, but that it was my choice if I wanted to continue in the Church. But by the time I was 12 I already began to have my own testimony of the Church and soon after came to understand that it was true. Ever since then, my testimony has grown stronger and stronger. You might be wondering how at such a young age did this kid know that this Church is true? The answer is simple. I prayed about it. I prayed to God and asked Him "if this Church is true" and He made it known unto me. My faith in this Gospel is unshakable and I have grown to love this Church more and more. I know that God lives, I know that Jesus Christ is His Son and that he atoned for all of our sins, I know that this Gospel and everything about this Church is true, I know that President Russel M. Nelson is the True Prophet, and I promise that if you pray to God and ask Him with faith and true intent he will let you know this Gospel is true as well. I say that in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

As I was growing up my Father taught me something that I have always lived my life by. He told me that no matter what God/Heavenly Father comes first, then Family, then Friends, and the Work. I have been living my life like this and will forever live my life like this. Through putting God first I came to understand that this Church is true. Other then home teaching, I currently don't have a calling because I am preparing to serve a 2 year mission in Ecuador. During my mission I will be serving and helping people, and teaching them about The Gospel. I am so excited to do this and cannot wait to leave!!! I know that this is what God wants me to do, and I am proud to be His servant.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Logan Sherman
Everyone knows that we don't drink alcohol, smoke, or do any illegal drugs because they are very harmful to your body. What most people don't understand is why we don't drink coffee or tea. While coffee and tea aren't harmful to the body they are both very addicting substances, and we have been counseled against drinking them so that we aren't held back by that addiction.
