Hi I'm Karen

I am a student. I am a traveler. I am an opportunity seeker. I am a Mormon.

About Me

As everyone, I have had my fair share of challenges of life. All of my trials have lead to me to become the person I am today. I am a college student with a passion for making the world a better place. As an aspiring social worker, I have spent time serving children throughout the world and have loved every minute of it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I chose to join God's kingdom through baptism. I don't attend church every week because someone makes me, I go because it's where I feel peace. Whenever life is rough, the only person you truly have to fall back on is Jesus Christ. It all started with Christ. He became my best friend. And slowly over time, I realized that he wanted me to do more; he needed me to join his true church. Once I took the first step forward, my faith and my testimony came as a result. As I continue to follow His gospel, I feel the Spirit confirming to me that I'm on the right path. Following Christ and being a part of His church has given me increased strength, protection, and joy that I wouldn't otherwise experience.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith, day by day, hour by hour. I live my faith by placing Jesus Christ at the center of my life. I study His life, His words, His teachings, and then apply it to my life. I set daily goals and surround myself with people who make me want to become the best version of me. I seek out opportunities to serve. I follow the promptings of the Spirit I receive. I follow the counsel of my church leaders. I listen and serve my family. I live my faith because of Jesus Christ's example to me.
