Hi I'm Lauren

I grew up in Utah. I taught English in the Dominican Republic, and now, I am teaching the Gospel in the Philippines. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah, riding horses, dancing, four-wheeling, and spending time with my family. I spent a lot of my time with anything that involved music. I love singing, and play a handful of instruments. I come from a big family, I have my parents, and four younger brothers and sisters. After I graduated High School, I packed my bags & left for a humanitarian trip to the Dominican Republic for a semester. I taught English in Elementary schools. My students were in fourth grade, and Kindergarten. When I got home, I realized I wanted to continue to serve. I filled out my LDS mission papers, and am currently preparing to be a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in the Philippines. On my mission, I will be speaking Hiligaynon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because of the peace, love, comfort, blessings, and happiness that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints brings me. I was born into the church, but my Grandmother, joined the church in her early 20s. She grew up in North Dakota, as a Protestant/Presbyterian. She met with the LDS missionaries, moved to Utah, and was baptized into the LDS Church. Although her family was against it, she knew that this was the true church & that it would be important to her, God, and to her posterity. After moving to Utah, and joining the Church, she met my Grandfather, and went on to have 6 children. I am grateful to her & for her faith, that led me to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to my local LDS ward each Sunday. I help teach the children in my ward about Jesus Christ. I attend the Temple as often as I can, because when I go, I feel comfort, peace, and love. Every day, I read from the Book of Mormon, and say a prayer to my Heavenly Father.
