Hi I'm Colton Gillespie

I grew up in Washington state. I moved to Texas for high school and played 4 years of basketball. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I've grown up being a member of the LDS church my whole life. I'm currently a student at BYU-Idaho although I am not sure what I want to major in yet. I love playing basketball and watching basically any sport. I am the oldest of 5 children, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. I am going to be serving a mission in Apia, Samoa starting May 16th.

Why I am a Mormon

I was taught at an early age to love the gospel. My parents have taught me so much and have set such a great example of how to live in faith. This gospel has brought so much peace and joy to my life, whether it has been good times or even the bad times, I have never felt alone. I have also read the Book of Mormon in its entirety and have prayed to know that it is true. Because of this truth, I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and did restore Jesus Christ's church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I go about every day trying to be the best person I can be. I do my best to uphold my standards daily and always try to be better than I was the previous day. I currently serve as a Cub Scout leader in our church and work with the 10 year olds.
