Hi I'm Linda

I'm a wife, a mother and a grandmother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My favorite thing in life has been to be a wife, a mother and grandmother. I have 5 grandchildren and 13 1/2 grandchildren. I love spending time with my family. We like to spend time in the outdoors doing activities like hiking, camping, and sporting activities. I also love to read and travel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am so grateful to be a Mormon. Mormons believe in Jesus Christ. We know that salvation only comes through Jesus Christ. There is no other way. Our church teaches us how to come unto Christ and how to live a life that is worthy of His redemption and salvation. Oh how I love my Savior. I am indebted to Him and grateful for all He has done for me.

How I live my faith

I enjoy working with the youth and children in my community and my church. I enjoy teaching and participating in various activities with them.

How is the Book of Mormon different from the Bible? How did Joseph Smith obtain the “golden plates” or Book of Mormon?

Linda
As Mormons, we believe in both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon goes hand in hand with the Bible. The Bible was written by prophets living in the old world and the Book of Mormon was written by prophets in the new world. Joseph Smith received the record that was written on gold plates from a heavenly messenger named Moroni. He translated it by the power of God and then published it in 1830. Both books testify that Jesus is the Christ, the immortal Son of God. They contain Christ's teachings and testify that we are all sons and daughters of God and that Jesus Christ is the path that leads to happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. Every time I have read it, it has brought me closer to God. I know that anyone who desires to know if it is true can read it and test the promise found in Moroni 10:4. If you ask God with a real desire to know of its truthfulness and ask Him in the name of Jesus Christ, you will receive a witness from Him that is true. Show more Show less
