Hi I'm Takaji Abo

I grew up as a military brat and was converted to the church. Now I am preparing to serve a full time mission.

About Me

I am a convert to the church and have strengthened my testimony since my conversion. I have been a Mormon since 2011 and am now proud to say that I will be serving a full time mission in Portland, Oregon. I grew up as a military brat so I adapted to new climates and surrounds because of moving around. But when I met the missionaries that knocked on my family's door, I was not expecting my life to change like this.

Why I am a Mormon

I was converted to the church because my parents were spiritually uplifted when the missionaries knocked on my family's door. I was surprised to see us attending church and for me to be active in activities. And because of the youth programs and bonds that I was able to experience, I truly felt like I was in another family.

How I live my faith

I choose to live my faith by being proactive in my church's youth programs. I feel that my family values were something that I could use to help strengthen my friends whom I've met throughout the years since my conversion. I felt as though I had to be a leader for my younger friends and be an example unto them, to set a path for them.
