Hi I'm Aubrey Chartier

I am from Ogden, Utah. I love smiling and making others smile. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Utah my whole life, and loved it. I love nature and being active. I attended the University of Utah, but am now taking a break to serve a full-time mission in Everett Washington.

Why I am a Mormon

I wasn't active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints growing up, but it wasn't foreign to me. I was baptized at the age of eight, but I still wasn't that active. It wasn't until I was twelve years old that I realized something was missing that I needed. Through wonderful examples of my closest friends, I was given the opportunity to understand just what I was missing, which was the church of Jesus Christ. It wasn't easy going to church by myself, but as I continued to go I met amazing people who welcomed me and made me feel at home. Slowly, my family started coming with me again and it made life better. I am a Mormon because I know the joy, peace, and blessings that Christ's church brings.

How I live my faith

I look for ways to serve or do something to brighten at least one person's day. I figured being a full-time missionary would be a great way to to do just that every day. I try my best to live what I believe so that other's can see the light that the gospel of Jesus Christ brings.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Aubrey Chartier
As a Mormon woman, I think I am pretty similar to women who aren't Mormon. I would say that one difference is we strive to be modest in heart and in appearance. We are taught from a young age of our importance and immense worth. You can see that light that shines from a virtuous woman's face. I feel empowered every day being apart of the Mormon community. Equality is very important. Both men and women are valuable to God. He loves every person no matter gender, race, and age more than we could ever imagine. Just as in families, men and women within the church have differing roles, but both are of utmost importance. Show more Show less
