Hi I'm Stuart

I come from a family of teachers. I grew up in the midwestern United States. I'm a student, probably of engineering. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Indiana and Ohio, while most of our family lived in Idaho and Utah. Growing up, I had many opportunities to develop my musical talents. There are so many singing role models in my family, even though I had something of a preference for Piano and Oboe myself. After moving to Utah with my family and graduating from high school, I was accepted to, and enrolled at BYU. Which happens to be where my dad currently teaches. After some decision time, I have decided to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering, though not until I complete my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church, but I stayed because of my own decisions. I stayed because each covenant I have upheld has brought the promised blessings, both in my own life and the lives of all those tat I know that have tried the same thing. The feelings I have when I am learning about Christ, or spending time in the temple are not duplicated anywhere.

How I live my faith

My faith has always been a quiet, but firm and constant presence in my life. Growing up with friends of a variety of beliefs and dedication to their beliefs, I could really see what a difference that the small, faithful decisions make in a life. I don't profess to be anywhere near perfect, but I do know that there is a path laid to overcome my flaws and weaknesses, and even death to become all my heavenly father wants me to become. By taking the small sreps to serve others, to learn more, and to leave behind the things that seperate me from what could be, I will get there eventually.
