Hi I'm Adrienne Maria Burgoyne

I was born in a small village in Austria but grew up in Dijon, France. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am married and have raised 6 children and we have 26 grandchildren and one great grandchild. I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Switzerland and France as a young adult, after joining the Church as a teenager. 3 of our children served missions (Australia and Brazil). We have 3 grandsons who served missions recently in Idaho, Florida, and Georgia. I love to travel with my husband and visit our children and grandchildren in the United State and members of my family who reside in France. Other interests include swimming, cooking, listening to good music and reading the scriptures.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 17 years old, I had the desire to belong to a Church. My mom and sisters and I visited many churches, but none satisfied our needs. One of my friends invited us to a dinner held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Dijon, France. That evening, the missionaries invited us to come to church meetings the next day. We were very touched by the Spirit that was in the meetings. After the meetings, I told my mom that I had found what I needed. The Spirit had testified to me of the truthfulness of the messages. We were baptized members of this Church several weeks later. I am so grateful to have found the Gospel of Jesus Christ in it's fullness. I know that God loves me, that I am his daughter and that Jesus Christ is His Son. I know that He came on this earth to fulfill the Plan of Salvation and that through obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel and His sacrifice that I will be able, with my family,to return to Heavenly Father's presence. I know that the Holy Ghost testifies of all truth if we ask God in sincere prayer.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity to serve others by a variety of church assignments including teaching young children, the youth and adults about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I also enjoy visiting other church members in their homes and have made eternal friends in so doing. I love spending time with our family and sharing spiritual experiences that build faith in the Gospel and look for ways to assist them in their lives.
