Hi I'm Michael Fitzpatrick

I grew up in California, United States. I've run six marathons. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really enjoy all things active; cycling, running, hiking. I do endurance sports such as marathons. I am going to college currently. I have recently started doing triathlons as well. Out of the three flavors (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry), I like strawberry milkshakes. I have been a member my whole life. I also have received my mission call and will be leaving to serve my 2 year mission after this semester. That's me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but that doesn't mean that I did not choose to be converted. At some point, I had to choose for myself to be a member of the church and to live the gospel. During my sophomore year in highschool, I started having a lot of questions about the church. I had to figure out for myself what the gospel meant to me. I started to study it a lot and tried to answer

How I live my faith

The gospel is really about service to others. In my ward right now, I serve as the Sunday School President. During the second hour of church, there are classes called Gospel Principles and Gospel Doctrine. During the week, I communicate with the teachers that are assigned for that Sunday and make sure that they know they are teaching. I also help them prepare lessons if they need help. It is a really fulfilling calling because I get to study the gospel every week when I am preparing lessons to teach. I also really enjoy speaking with the people in my ward every week.
