Hi I'm Carson

I love my wife and two little boys, I am a Journeyman Plumber, I enjoy baseball and basketball, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and a father of two boys. My wife is my best friend. She is a great mother and spouse. My family is the reason I do anything that I do. I'm a journeyman plumber and love working with my hands. Plumbing has taught me a lot about problem solving, and saved me a lot of money over the years! I grew up loving sports and being in the outdoors. Baseball and basketball are my favorite activities to watch and play. I enjoy fishing, especially for cray fish. The traps are good, but it's more exciting to go after them by hand. And it some good eatin'! I also like helping people. I watched my dad serve so many people as a kid, and I want my kids to remember me the same way. He did it because he loves the Lord. I try to bring my boys along to service opportunities when I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the "Mormon" church, because I know the teachings are true. That God still speaks to us through prophets. God didn't mean for us to walk alone. He wants us to have His guidance. One of this church's huge focuses is the family. Everything we are taught at church is to strengthen our family in some way. In a world where most everything is trying to pull the family apart, its nice to have teaching that are there to bring them together. I love in the church how everything points to Christ. Although I'm not perfect in this practice, I've been taught to ask myself "what would Jesus do?" in every situation of life. Hearing this a lot growing up, I took it for granted. As an adult, I use it daily to guide my actions. It's so powerful to be in a tough situation, and to ask "how would Christ handle this?" It can really make things a lot more simple.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by helping and loving everyone, because that's what Christ did. I'm not nearly perfect at it, but have made a lot of life time friends in trying to serve. I've had the opportunity to serve with the youth of the church in the past. It's great to be able to grow relationships with, and hopefully influence these great people in their most influential times. I currently have the chance to be a leader of the adult men. I try every week to get to know these men and make sure they know they can come to me if they need any help. I also have a few families assigned to me that I get to focus on. People I get to see regularly and build relationships with. The goal of having these families, is that they know they have people close by that they know and trust. That way if there is ever any needs, small or big, they can come to me.
