Hi I'm Kayla

I'm a life-lover. I attend school full-time. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to act, dance, and sing. New England's outdoors in the fall is one of my favorite places to be! I'm a freshman in college and I'm just doing my best to follow God's plan for me. I've been a member now for 7 years; I joined the church when I was 11. It was one of the scariest yet best things I've ever done.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because, ever since I've joined, it's been the right thing to be. There has never been a time in my life since joining that being a member has gone against me, been a bad thing, or even been inconvenient. The Lord has continuously blessed me when I choose to follow his commandments. He has never left me alone. He has supported me through everything. I can look back on the hardest times of my life and see his hands in the workings. I know this church is true. That is why I'm a Mormon. It was a life I chose and it's a life I've never regretted.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church, reading my scriptures, and praying, even when I don't want to (because that's when it matters the most!) It's all in the small things that we do every day that build our faith and prepare us for the bigger things and trials that are going to come into our lives.

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

Begin first by learning about the gospel through official channels of the church. Look up things on LDS.org, talk to online missionaries, access the scriptures, and pray! Then, when you feel you are prepared and ready, take lessons with local missionaries. Allow the Holy Ghost to be your guide in your journey to discovering the truth and he will testify truths to you. Baptism and becoming a member of the church is not a casual commitment. You don't join the church just so that you may become baptized and saved. You join because you want to make a lifelong commitment to your Father in Heaven in the way you feel is right. If you feel a connection with the church and it's teachings, and want to make this commitment, then baptism could be for you! Meet with missionaries. They have wonderful things to teach you, and will help guide you to the road of baptism and membership. Show more Show less
