Hi I'm Lehi Larger

I'm from Georgia. I'm a huge lover of books. What would it profit me if I should gain the whole world, but lose my soul?

About Me

My hobbies and interests in 1500 characters or less?! Better get started! I'm a reader, runner, swimmer, intellectual know-it-all, and video game player (duh, I'm a guy in 2018). I'm not sure if I think I'm different from most others because I am or if I've just the usual existential crisis gig going on. I strive for excellence in all that I do, and I try hard to not cut myself any slack or allow excuses. I've run cross country for 5 years, swam during one season, wrestled for two, track for 5 years, always been a bookie kinda guy, and love talking with people more than all of these put together (except maybe reading). I look forward to going to college after getting home from my mission. I think majoring in philosophy would be fun because some topics that would come up would be awesome to discuss with peers. I want to join the Air Force at some point (I would love to attend the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs). However, I have also considered practicing law. I'm not sure what I want to do! I could be happy as a high school librarian!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of this church. Don't let anyone convince you that I have been brain-washed; I haven't. I know what I believe, and that is that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. I know that God speaks to us, His children, through prayer, and that He reveals His gospel through prophets. I believe that God has a plan for each of us. I personally know that He has prepared a way for me to progress past this mortal state of existance, and that that way is though the path that His son, Jesus Christ, showed and taught us. I gained a full testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ when I was 12, after praying to know if the Book of Mormon was translated through the power and authority of God by the prophet Joseph Smith. We do not diefy Joseph, but we do acclaim him as a modern day prophet who holds the same priesthood, and the keys thereof, that prophets of old held. We have a prophet now. His name is Russell M. Nelson. I know he was chosen by God to continue to reveal His will in these last days. I love reading and studying the scriptures. I know that the Old and New Testament declare the divinity of Jesus Christ. I also know that the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price declare the gospel of Jesus Christ, and that they speak of many plain and precious truths that were lost, removed, or reserved, through the wisdom of our God, from the Bible. I proclaim Jesus Christ as my Savior, Lord, and Master, and when the day comes I will do it upon bended knee before His throne. Amen.

How I live my faith

I currently live my faith by simply and devotedly postponing college, family life, and other wordly pursuits to share what I believe with those who have not heard it. I believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is designed to bring us peace in this life and hope for eternal life in the world to come. This is a great promise and such a hope filled one! I can't believe it is true and not answer the call to give of my time, means, efforts, and talents to share it.
