Hi I'm Vibeka

I'm from upstate New York. I'm passionate about education. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Vibeka! I'm a college student right now, majoring in political science, and I love kids. After I graduate, I hope to improve education around the world. I also sing, play piano, and get into philosophical discussions with my friends. I love teaching! I've tutored eighth graders, taught my little brother how to read, and given piano lessons to a bunch of kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I need the gospel to be happy. I've found that, the more I focus on Christ, the more happiness I experience in my life. The less I focus on Christ, the more stressed I am, and the more likely I am to be swayed by thoughts of self-doubt or anger. This church is true. Every day, I feel the Spirit telling me that it's true. Being a Mormon makes me feel at peace with myself, and confident that I can get through trials and difficulties. It gives me strength.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday! I play the piano in church, and I practice hymns throughout the week. Right now, I'm preparing to serve a missions in Samoa. I read the Book of Mormon every single day, and it gives me the strength and inspiration I need to keep going. Every morning when I wake up, I say a prayer, asking my Heavenly Father for guidance. Each night, before I go to bed, I'll say another prayer, thanking Him for the blessings He's given me, and asking again for strength and direction.
