Hi I'm Alec Galloway

I'm from Washington State. I studied at Brigham Young University, I'm called as a missionary in Santiago, Chile and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm studying at Brigham Young University, and I'm looking into a Computer Science Major. I've been a lifelong Church member. I enjoy playing the piano and sometimes I write my own music. I love history and learning about other cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church gives us the most plain and direct way to return to our Father in heaven. I know He lives, and I know that through the Jesus Christ's atoning sacrifice, all mankind may be saved, and through His gospel, we can return to dwell in his glory. 2 Nephi 2:25 reads: "Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy." The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gives me an eternal joy that I cannot find anywhere else, and I know it can do the same for you, too.

How I live my faith

Because I was raised in the Church, I never really had to develop my own personal testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ until I began attending college and preparing for a mission. While I was familiar with many aspects of the restored Gospel, I never really had to learn to apply them to myself and develop my own belief until I began living on my own. Now that I've begun to cultivate my own testimony, I want to share it and invite others to gain a testimony of Christ's Atonement and the restored Gospel. Currently, I try to live my faith by serving faithfully in church callings and trying to put the needs of others before my own. By trying to develop Christlike attributes, I hope to more fully consecrate myself to my Heavenly Father.
