Hi I'm Ruby

Hi I'm from Texas, I'm loyal and kind. I love to go to church, travel, and swim. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

HI. I'm Ruby, I'm the middle child out of seven children. I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters. I have two wonderful parents who love me unconditionally. I'm Lds and love my church so much. I'm going to college to major in Nursing. I recently was called to serve a 18 month mission in Washington. I love to serve people in my family, friends, and community. I love to paint and draw it relaxes me. I love music, especially church hymns. I love the outdoors. I like to hike, bike, swim, and travel to new places. I have a cat named Jupiter, he is very lazy and loves food. I also have two dogs in my family, a girl named Luna and a boy named Sol. I love baking and I enjoy cooking if the food turns out good.

Why I am a Mormon

One of the main reasons I'm a Mormon is because I know without a shadow of a doubt that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint is the true restored church here Earth. I know that this is the Lords church. This church is the only thing that truly makes me happy and feel safe. I use to ponder on these three questions. Where did I come from? What is my purpose in life? Where will I go after this life? I use to be so terrified about what would happened after death. I would get so scared thinking about death that I would avoid the subject or cry till i forgot about it. I'm so grateful to know about The Plan of Salvation and that this is the Lord's plan. I know that there is a purpose as to why we are here on Earth and that after we die there is more to come then just death. Knowing about the Plan of Salvation truly gives me hope for the afterlife and makes me feel at peace. I know that families can be together for ever, and that families are eternal. Its wonderful to know that if I'm faithful by keeping the commandments, following the word of wisdom, pay tithing, and etc, that I can be blessed with wonderful gifts from my Heavenly Father. I'm grateful for missionary's who never gave up on my family. They were sent to me by God to help me come closer to him. I know that missionary's are representatives of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ and that they preach truths to everyone they meet.

How I live my faith

One of the ways I live my faith is by constantly going to church every Sunday. Before I was an active member I use to never want to go to church because I was too tired or I made up another excuse as to why it was "OK" to skip one Sunday. Skipping one Sunday can turn into weeks, months, or years without going to church. Not going one day makes it harder to want to go back to church. I set a goal to never miss a Sunday unless I was sick and to this day I have kept that promise. I was first called as a primary chorister, then I was called to be a primary worker and teach the CTR. I love my kids so much. I love helping them come to know about our savior Jesus Christ. I try my best to live to the standards and attributes that my savior lived, and I hope that I am an example to my children in my class. I ant them to know about how to love one another and to come to know about the true church so they can make that choice when their are eight years old to be baptized. I love visiting teaching because its a great way to get to know your sisters from your branch/ward better. I get to know more about their family and their needs.
