Hi I'm Melissa McLea

I was born and raised in Oklahoma City. Oklahoma is a great place to raise and ride horses. I’m a Mormon.

About Me

After going to a Camp in Minnesota at the age of 12, I came back to Oklahoma and found my camp riding instructors just an hour from my home. I trained with them in Hunt Seat English riding for 6 years until they moved to the northwestern United States. While I was a student at Oklahoma State University studying Zoology, my Riding Instructor friends moved back to Stillwater just long enough to invite me to learn about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Before I finished the lessons from the Missionaries teaching me, my friends had moved away again. I know our Father in Heaven had this opportunity planned so that I might learn of him and his son, our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because upon reading the Book of Mormon, I prayed to know of its truthfulness. During a prayer, I received a sure witness that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and is a Testament of Jesus Christ, a second witness to the divinity of our Savior, along with the Bible.

How I live my faith

My Husband and I work with the Young Single Adults (ages 18 through 30) in the Tulsa area. We love working with them. Their testimonies of our Savior warms our hearts and encourages us to be more valiant in our own Faith. They go to Church and worship Jesus Christ because that is what they choose to do. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is for all ages and we are so grateful to serve in this capacity.
