Hi I'm Lori

I have lived in Pueblo Colorado for the past twenty years. My family is my world! I'm a Mormon

About Me

Hi! I have done things the hard way most of my life. I married my high school sweetheart at 18 and jumped right into adult life. I learned very quickly to work hard. My husband and I welcomed our first daughter two years later. Three sons followed as we continued to both work to make ends meet. As we looked at our future, we knew if we didn't make a change, we would likely struggle and not be able to provide for our growing family. We made the decision to put Jeff through school where he would earn his bachelors degree in engineering. Five years of hard work, sacrifice and lots of study, we accomplished this wonderful goal. He received a job offer and off we went with our four and our brand new baby daughter to Pueblo Colora Here in Pueblo, we raised our family. I started a cleaning business and then a catering business

Why I am a Mormon

I feel so very blessed in my life. I believe these blessings come from keeping the commandments of the Lord and trying my best to follow His example. I have made many mistakes in my life. I know where to turn to repent and feel clean again. My Savior took upon Himself the sins of the world, my sins. He suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane and upon the cross of Calvary. On the third day, He rose from the tomb. The Atonement is for all of us. We are all blessed with agency to choose for ourselves. He made it possible for each of us to repent, to be free from sin. He made it possible for us to return to our Heavenly Home, to have our dear families forever. His love for us knows no bounds, it is perfect. He knows us and loves us, each one of us. He knows our deepest pains and our true joy. The Lord Lives! I know this! Being a Mormon is not only my choice, it is who I am.

How I live my faith

I love being a part of a church family. I feel it a great blessing to attend church every week and serve in any capacity I am called. I love serving with the youth! I served as an early morning seminary teacher where the youth come and study the scriptures before school. We are able to have discussions and share our feelings and begin and end in prayer. I saw daily how this made such a great impact in the lives of my class. We felt safe and surrounded by an atmosphere of love. I have had the opportunity to serve as a hospice volunteer, I was able to meet and serve great people who were coming to the close of their earthly lives. This was so hard on my heart but allowed me to learn so much.
