Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because that is how i have been raised; through the Kelsch and Winkel generations. I have always had a belief in His gospel and a desire to bring others closer. I continue to follow His gospel because of the things i believe. I believe that Mary is Jesus's mother and she was called of God to bring forth a Son of Eternal happiness to show unto the world that He knows all things, and is the creator of all things both the heavens and the earth. I know that God is real because He performs miracles in our lives, he answers prayers truthfully and he provides us with blessings, and we are on this earth because of His plan and we came down here because we accepted it. Joseph Smith had a vision of something larger than this life. he believed through the spirit, he knew through the spirit, and he testified of the spirit that God is the Father He witnessed God and his son Jesus Christ in the grove in Palmira New York I want to continue in His Gospel because of His teachings through the world and of the spirit. That is why i have chosen to serve a mission in Lubbock Texas. I want to share my testimony that I know God is our Father and we lived with Him in His kingdom as spirits learning of His plan and accepting it down on Earth. Our mission in this life is to bring others closer to God our Father and invite the spirit to testify of the truth. I strongly testify that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and without his work in restoring it, none of us would have it. As we continue to serve, befriend, love, and never stop learning and finding, we will begin to know more about the gospel and ourselves. It is through Him that we can do all things. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

I was born and raised a Mormon and i do not regret it I had 3 callings: 1. Miamaid Secretary 2. Laurel Secretary 3. YSA FHE committee before i moved back to my home ward to prepare for my mission. I go to church, I read the bible and Book of Mormon I need to do a better job at attending the temple I participated in the Mormon Miracle Pageant for 7 years 2011-2017 I find praying to be very strong when i feel down in the dirt I know and believe God is real because of the spirit, the translation, and the vision and proof that Joseph Smith went through to bring the Gospel back to us I believe in order to obtain the highest kingdom that eternal marriage between a man and woman is ordained of God I love the Lord and our Father.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Sabrina Winkel
A testimony is a spiritual experience one has in a situation and a prompting given by the Holy Ghost. It is something that we become strengthened in and a foundation of the faith we develop in Heavenly Father and His children. A testimony in other words is something we feel deeply and strongly about... the truth of the gospel. Show more Show less
