Hi I'm Peter Richins

I grew up in Indiana, I'm fascinated by agriculture. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young adult who is fascinated by agriculture, especially sustainable farming. I love to read, and I enjoy pyrography. A style of art based on burning figures and words into pieces of wood.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been members of the church for several generations, so I have been around the church my entire life. When I was a youth, I studied the gospel, reading the Bible as well as the Book of Mormon. As I did so I found happiness, I felt greater peace and joy the more I studied. I then took to prayer, asking our Heavenly Father if the church is true, and received a near overwhelmning feeling of love. I repeated that experiance, asking if Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon, if the Book of Mormon is scripture, and if the apostles and prophets of the church are called by The Lord. Each of those questions wwas accompanied by responses, of love, peace, and happiness. Since then I have sought to obey the commandments, and involve The Lord in my life as much as I can. I know that Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us, that He wants each of us to succeed, and tor return to live with him. I know that Heavenly Father places his church on earth today, with modern prophets, and teachers to enable us to return to him. I love our Heavenly Father, I am ggrateful for the sacrifce of His Son, Jesus Christ, to come to earth and teach us the path we should walk. Then suffer in the garden of Gethsemane, and die on the cross, before rising again on the third day. Suffering for my sins, so that I can work to live as Chirst did, make corrections when I make mistakes and return to live with Heavenly Father and my family again.

How I live my faith

I am a cub scout den leader, meaning I help young men age eight to ten learn about the world around them and how to be great men. I also help others in my congregation use technology to learn the gospel.
