Hi I'm Isa

I grew up in São Paulo, Brazil. I want to make the world a better place to live by sharing happiness. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a college student that is currently taking a break from school to serve a mission for one and a half years. I've always been someone that wanted to put all my efforts into helping those in need. I want to be a doctor so I can ease the suffering of so many that have lost hope. I have a very strong connection with music and musicals. I started singing when I was about 9 years old and haven't stopped since. I sing when I'm sad, when I need encouragement, when I'm overjoyed, and especially when I want to express something that words alone can't. I also love to dance. Dancing allows me to burst into large and expressing movements when I'm happy and experience introspective movements when I'm feeling sad. Being outdoors and traveling are also things that I love to do. But more than anything, my family and the gospel of Jesus Christ have made me who I am today.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up being a mormon, so unlike others I do not have a conversion story. However, like many others that grew up in the Church, I came to a point where I asked myself why I was a mormon and if the Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Sants was the true Chruch of Jesus Christ established here on Earth.

How I live my faith

I try to serve all those around me. I am human and have, therefore, many flaws. However, I try to rely on the Saviour to turn my weeknesses into strenghts. Growing up in the Church I participated in many programs that helped me to set goals and establish values for my life, such as honesty, faithfulness and service. I had the opportunity of helping other girls to stay true to their beliefs when they were going through hard times and be helped when I was about to give up. I participated in many activities that helped me get closer to Christ and thaught me about prayer, faith, reading the scriptures and repentance. I was already called to conduct music during sunday meetings and participate in a family history and temple committee. I try to apply all the skills that I learned in church into helping my community too. I participated in a volunteer work through my university to teach about healthy habits and improve health conditions in a very underpriviledged part os Sao Paulo. I am also preparing go serve a one and a half year mission. I'm going to teach about the gospel that changed my life to those who want to learn more about it and engage in community services.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Because they want other families and individuals to experience the same joy that they've experienced by being a member of the Church. They want as many people as possible to have an eternal family and the knowledge of the Plan of Salvation. Show more Show less
