Hi I'm Kegan Adams

I grew up in Northern Kentucky. I'm an Eagle Scout and one of four children and the second to serve a mission. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a very outgoing person! One thing I love doing is playing the Trumpet. I was in my high school pep band, marching band, and concert band! I ended up being first chair and section leader my senior year of high school and it was amazing. Playing the solos and being that ONE guy that always is a bit crazy in the trumpet section, yup, that's me! I also love to ski! Having the opportunity to be able to go out west and visit my family often has made an excellent time for me to go skiing! I'm no expert, but I've been more times than I can count. It is always just pure exhilarating going down those huge hills, it makes me feel like I'm so free and alive! I also was a little bit of a gamer in high school. I played only a few PC games like Starcraft and League of Legends. But my play play time has been on the Xbox with games like For Honor, Battlefield 4, and Playunknown's Battleground! It has been quite the fun time haha!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised ever since birth in this Church. Although, I didn't always believe it. There was a time in my life where I had to decided if I was going to make this church part of my life. I had to decide. I didn't believe but I wasn't going to spend countless years of my life pretending like I believed. So I was going to figure out if it was true, and the best way to do that is to live by its teaching. So I strived to follow the commandments I was given, to pray, to reach the scriptures (The Book of Mormon, the Bible, and the Doctrine and Covenants), and to genuinely have a desire to know if it is true. The answer did not come in a blaze of glory all at once, but it came time and time again. One thing after another after another after another. This revelation and answers from God came down and were impressed in my heart and mind. I had come to know that this church is true. And the greatest truth I have ever come to know is that God and Jesus Christ love me. There was a point where I though I was alone, I walked in darkness, and that I was not loved. But I was wrong. They were they with me, always watching, always loving me. They are real and are there for you with open arms ready to love you. They want you to be happy and I know you can experience a joy in them and in this church that you can nowise experience anywhere else. It is amazing!

How I live my faith

I have had a calling in my ward in the LDS Church to teach the Gospel Essentials Class. What this means is I have had the opportunity to teach the recent converts of the church and be able to teach investigators of the church. I have had a wonderful experience preparing my lessons each week to teach and being able to see so many people grow. I love being able to be in a class and have meaningful discussions with so many different people. It has shown me that is doesn't matter where people are from and what they've been through, this gospel and this church positively affects everyone. Anyone can partake of the amazing joy that awaits them! It has been such and impact in my life. I also strive each day to pray to my Father in Heaven. Even though he is all knowing, he still wants to hear from me. He wants to be close to us, he loves us, and the power of prayer and the knowledge that we have an all powerful Father simply a prayer away is amazing!
