Hi I'm Trisha

I was born and raised in the Philippines of Filipino parents. I moved to Australia when I was 10 and moved back when I was 18.

About Me

I am a 19 year old about to enter the MTC to serve my mission. To backtrack, I was born and raised in the Philippines until I was 10 when I moved to Australia. I am the oldest of 3 with my 2 brothers. I lived in Australia until I was at 18 years of age when I decided to move back to the Philippines to prepare for my mission. At this time I still enjoy the same hobbies such as art, reading, listening to music, playing the piano, singing using the videoke (haha), and cooking. Before serving my mission I had finished grade 12 and finished my course to receive an Advanced Diploma on Travel and Tourism.

Why I am a Mormon

I nam a Mormon because I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ lives and loves us. I know that in His Gospel, His Atonement and if we walk uprightly, we will be saved. My parents both grew up in the church. My mother being a convert and my father being born in the covennt. As they raised me up in the church and teaching me to be continually converted in His Gospel it taught me what it is to be a Mormon. It is becoming a representative of Christ at all times, places and situations. It is a commandment for us to follow him and be like Him, meaning i need to embody and have Christlike attributes.

How I live my faith

I live my faith out of my love for my Savior, my Lord, Jesus Christ. I do my best to apply the teachings and principles of His gospel. I know of the eternal possibilities that are recorded on my Patriarchal blessing. I know that it is up to me to act on my faith to receive these blessings put upon me by my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I act upon my faith by being an example to my friends, inviting them to church activities, fellow-shipping investigators and newly converted members, magnifying my callings, and over all trying to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My previous calling as a primary teacher taught me to be worthy to teach. As I prepare my lesson the days before Sunday, I have been taught to feel the spirit at all times to feel the inspiration of what I should teach. I myself learn the basic and simple doctrines of the church with the lessons I have to teach to kids aged 3-12. Visiting teaching and working with the missionaries taught me to share my faith in Jesus Christ in all opportunities and where I see fit and appropriate. I know that sharing and showing my faith in Jesus Christ to others is a way of sharing my testimony and showing my gratitude on my knowledge about His Gospel.
