Hi I'm Brandon

I was born in Utah. I am Korean-American. The gospel makes me happy and I love it!

About Me

I love sports, especially volleyball. I love watching movies because I love stories. I like martial arts because it keeps me fit and it's fun. I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters and I am the oldest child in my family. I've lived in the US my entire life, but I love to travel and try different things. I love food. I like to cook, eat, and eat more. I want to try as many things as I can at least once. My favorite vacation spot is where I am now. I love this gospel, the church, and its leaders. I think the gospel is so good. I want to share it with the world because the church is true!

Why I am a Mormon

Some people may think that believing in a deity is delusional and foolish when there is no hard evidence. Maybe it is. After all, the majority of people in the world have based their beliefs on just what they feel or on how they were raised. However, I am happier. That is the difference. I am at peace knowing who I am, what my purpose is, and who I am meant to be. I have direction. I know what to do with my life. How and why do I know and feel these things? I KNOW this church is true. It stands out above all others. It is different. Because it is the most complete. It is so incredibly simple, yet it is deeper than any other. I have seen changes in my life. But I see changes in other's lives as well. I have experienced moments so sacred that can only be described as miracles. This church may not have all the answers (yet), but it has everything that we need. I'm sure many of you've seen the changes or differences from those who have been touched by the restored gospel. Some examples are people who have a "shining face", strange or different standards, or just simply how happy they are. We ARE happy. So happy in fact that we want everyone else to be happy as well. Just like when people find a funny picture, we show it to all our friends and family. It is also why we serve. I think that it is a noble way of living. To do our best to be happy and to help others experience the joy we feel too. So come to one of our church meetings. We love new people. Feel the difference. :)

How I live my faith

I read the scriptures every day and I pray every day. I love serving others. I do a lot of family history and indexing. I also teach others how to index in my ward. Indexing is entering names of people who have passed away onto an online database so that other people can find and trace their ancestry and do temple work for them. It also helps people to find relatives and fill in their family trees. I do these things so that I can be inspired to do what I need to do. I want to be the person the Lord can go to when he needs something done. If I do my best to be spiritually sensitive and in-tune, I know that I can be someone that can be trusted to listen and do whatever needs to be done. I have also found that helping others is the best way to take care of your own struggles and trials. It's amazing that it works that way. I totally recommend everyone to reach out and serve other people. Especially when you yourself are in need of help. I promise you that everything will work out. Because when you are not thinking of yourself but thinking of others and helping to ease their burdens, the Lord does the same for you. He's got your back. He loves you. He is the best! He knows each one of us. He is our God. But he is also our best friend when we have no one else. He is our Savior and Redeemer and knows our burdens. Who better to turn to than the only other person who really knows what we are going through. He is my best friend. I invite all of you to meet him as well. Because he really wants to become your best friend too. No matter who you are, what you've done, or what situation you are in. He is there. Turn to him. He will help.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Brandon
We believe that we shouldn't depend on any substance to function or feel emotions. We also believe that our bodies are gifts from God. I think that anything that we get from an almighty being is probably super awesome. So taking good care of it is most likely the way to go. Doing so and being healthy makes us happy too. We were also promised blessings from doing so. What better reason is there? Show more Show less
