Hi I'm Whitney

I grew up Utah. I work at an elementary school helping kids with all of their random problems, but I love it. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just got out of high school and I used to be really into running but now that I have the choice to run, I don't do it as much. I am currently a college student, taking generals which isn't really too exciting. I have a huge family and they are all so supportive and loving, I am seriously so lucky. I also just got my mission call to the Jamaica Kingston Mission and am ecstatic to serve the people there and to share my love of the gospel with them. So I will be taking a break from school for a while but it is definitely the next step I need to take in my life. I am an after school teacher and math tutor at an elementary school, it is a learning experience and a little hard at times but I love the kids and the joy that they bring to my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the gospel, both of my parents are members and their parents are all members as well. They are all very strong in the faith and they have helped me to build my own testimony. For the longest time I have had the gospel in my life but I have never really seen the truthfulness within it.

How I live my faith

I haven't had any major callings in my ward yet, my mission call though has been such an exciting opportunity to share my testimony with others. I have been preparing to serve a mission for quite some time now and it's almost surreal knowing that I will be leaving so soon to a place out of the country. I haven't been out of the country before but I am so grateful for the calling I have received to share the gospel with a different part of the world. Most of my friends are either already out on missions or leaving in a matter of months and I just love how strong their testimonies are and seeing the growth they experience and the love they have for the people they are serving. It's such a wonderful example to me and helps me see that we are all children of a loving Heavenly Father.
