Hi I'm Wayne R Torgerson

I grew up in Wayne County, Utah. I grew up as a farm boy and loved every bit of . I worked as a steel fabricator. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I have a wonderful wife, we have six children, one girl and five sons. I have worked in the steel fabrication for 44 yr. I enjoy being in the mountains hunting, fishing, and just camping with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I remember wanting to know for my self about the truthfulness of the restored gosple and if the church was the only true church found on this earth. I had been a member, raised in the church and had been involved in many of the activities the church provides. It was still important to for me to know for my self. As I read the scriptures and prayed about all that I understood, while reading in 3 Nephi 11, my mind was full of understanding and my heart was full of love as I received my witness. The gosple of Jesus Christ is on the earth and I am part of it.

How I live my faith

I have always been active in the church.I have served working with the Boy Scouts and all the other youth groups in the church. I have been a Bishop and had the best ward and people whom I love to this day. I have taught in every possion in the ward, as well as Stake assignments.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Wayne R Torgerson
A testimony is a wonderful thing. When you learn something and you know there is truth in the thing you have learned, you want to tell others about it. In our church we learn truths about God and Jesus Christ by wanting to about them. Then by study of the scriptures, the Bible and the Book of Mormon, you get a understanding of what is necessary to learn about their person and what we need to do to be like them and live in their presents, What you learn is spiritual and you will know by the influence of the Holy Ghost the truthfulness of what you know. That is testimony. Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Wayne R Torgerson
Jesus Christ commanded his twelve apostles, while on the earth, to go unto all the world and spread his gosple. It would be very difficult for only twelve men to do this work. Missionaries are called to assist in this work. They volunteer to go where called. But it is by inspiration that they are sent to serve in the country or area they will labor in. Show more Show less
