Hi I'm Makenna

I'm from South Jordan, Utah. I study Special Education at Utah State University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Something I love to do is go up into the mountains. I love to hike, rock climb, and go on drives through the canyon as well as stop on little trails to be with friends and tell stories. I am going to college. I enjoy traveling and have been places in Europe, America, Asia, Africa, and Australia. I hope to continue traveling and learning about the cultures around the world. I love spending time with people who have disabilities.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because as I have continued to follow the guidelines set by the church I am able to see the blessings directly impact my life. I have gained a special relationship with God and from that relationship have found a purpose in life as well as an undeniable testimony of the teachings taught within the Mormon church.

How I live my faith

I go to church regularly and apply what is taught in the meetings into my daily life. This has built my character and I enjoy sharing my love of the gospel to others. In past callings I have been over activities for the young women from ages 12-18.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

We can come to know our Father in Heaven by conversing with him through prayer. When we reach out to God he is going to be there for us. Reading the scriptures will increase our connection with our Father in Heaven, when we read what God has done and will do we are more able to understand God and the way he works. Keeping His commandments helps us know that He lives. When we keep the commandments we are softening our hearts to God and are more receptive to what he has to teach us through the scriptures and through the prophets. Show more Show less
