Hi I'm Katie

I love to laugh, read, be outdoors, and spend time with friends and family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Florida, but have spent most of my life living in Utah. I am the fourth oldest of eleven children. I have close relationships with my siblings and parents, and we love being together! I grew up playing soccer, and continued to play for about 11 years. I am currently attending college and love it! I spend my free time outdoors, reading, and spending time with friends and family. I am preparing to serve a mission in Brazil for the next 18 months!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. Being a member of this church and knowing my purpose on this earth makes me want to be a better person and become more like my Savior, Jesus Christ. I love being able to communicate with the Lord every single day through prayer. It is so comforting for me to know that there is always someone that understands exactly how I am feeling and what I am going through. As I have turned to the Lord and the scriptures, I have received comfort, strength, and peace, especially in my times of great need. I know that the Lord speaks to his church today through a living prophet. I have sincerely studied the teachings of the church and I know that it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the example of Christ and striving to be more like him. I am definitely not perfect by any means, but through Christ I can become better every single day. Through service I have also been able to come closer to Christ. I have been blessed with a selfless mother who serves others on a daily basis and I strive to be more like her every day, through looking for even small ways to serve someone and ease their burdens. I have also served as a teacher among the women in my ward. This opportunity to learn and teach others has greatly blessed my life and strengthened my testimony of the teachings of this church and of God's love for his children.
