Hi I'm Miriam

I'm from Portland, Oregon, born and raised. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Portland my whole life. I love the random art you find all over the place, I love the all the unknown hole in the wall hipster restaurants that you don't know about until you walk past it 12 times and then finally notice it. There are so many random cool shops mixed with the sleek business buildings. I can't imagine living anywhere else. The beauty of the random gardens and parks are breathtaking, and amazing places to sit back and clear your head. I work as a retail associate so going around Portland on my day off is the best way to relax.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in this Gospel. But I am still a convert. There was a time in my life when I didn't know whether or not I would continue to follow the teachings of this Gospel. But there have been too many instances and personal experiences that have proven to me that I cannot deny the truth of this Gospel.

How I live my faith

I love teaching the little kids at Church. They are so full of energy, and every day in the class is exhausting, but rewarding. I teach them the very basics of our religion, and every day they teach me more than I teach them it seems. Sometimes in our day to day lives we forget the core, at least I do it seems, and these kids, when they tell me about how they treated their friends or parents that week, remind me that you don't always need to perform huge acts. The simple things are just as important.
