Hi I'm Luseane Lavemai

I was born in New Zealand, raised in Beaverton, Oregon. Preparing to serve a full-time mission. I'm a mormon

About Me

I love to spend free time playing the piano. The hymns given to us by the church uplifts, encourages and motivates myself to strive to improve and be more Christ like. Playing the piano comes with a lot of hard work and commitment to practice daily and challenge myself to play different styles of music.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my whole life. When I fully converted to this gospel was my Freshman year of high school. I took for granted all the blessings I could have received during my primary years and I was distracted so much with worldly things that I lost sight of the long-term blessings to come. I finally realized that there were so many amazing things about the gospel I never pondered sincerely about. In Seminary a gospel class we take in high school we were learning about the atonement. We were taught that the only way to go back to our Heavenly Father that Jesus Christ had to make the ultimate sacrifice and die for us and through him we can be saved. Sitting in class and learning that he sacrificed his life for all of us, made me evaluate what I'm doing to deserve such love.

How I live my faith

My calling in church currently is Secretary in the Primary Presidency. Usually a secretary takes attendance and organizes the primary presidency meetings, teacher meetings and messenger of the presidency if needed. Throughout the year, I get to see these children grow and learn of the gospel through the simple things asked of us. To daily ponder and read of the scriptures, Humbling ourselves to kneel in pray to our Heavenly Father and attending all of our church meetings. As I see their willingness to do these things, I take upon myself the challenge to do the simple things and eventually conquer all the big trials in my life.

What are Mormon temples used for?

Luseane Lavemai
The temple is a sacred house of the Lord. Through the temple we make eternal covenants with our Heavenly Father, perform ordinances for loved ones and to those that died without the knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ. They are given the chance to learn and receive these blessings even though they have died. I know that these are true they have been testified to me by the Holy Ghost. We are given the chance to perform these ordinances for them and I know they are rejoicing on the other side of happiness. Show more Show less
