Hi I'm Jared Luke Dunne

I grew up in Leeds England. I love missionary work. Im a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Missionary or soon to be Missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and before I became a missionary I loved music, going to youth and Young Single Adult activities, spending time with friends and family, travelling as well as sharing the gospel with people. I also have a love for food and culture and enjoy trying out new things with friends from a multitude of different places. I enjoy my video games and movies. I have a particular liking to loving people and love to help everyone I can and getting to know them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because growing up as a member I had a desire to find out if what I had being brought up with was true and sought out knowledge of the gospel and answers to my own questions and spent a long time of my life doing seminary and going to church every week to obtain a testimony. Eventually I was able to feel The Spirit and recognise what it was telling me and have had people feel the Holy Spirit and had promptings from The Spirit to tell me what I needed to hear at that time. As I get to know different missionaries and different friends preparing to serve a mission I am blessed to hear the times they have felt The Holy Ghost or have had their own experiences on knowing that The Church or the Book of Mormon is in-fact true. Since then I have developed a deeper love for the temple and for the work in which we as members of The Church are engaged in and all the commandments we try to abide by and the meanings and why our Heavenly Father wants us to follow them. I love people and being able to help them in any way, but most importantly by helping them and letting them know about this amazing true gospel and what Heavenly Father has in store for them and their loved ones. Through being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I been able to help many people whether they are homeless, widowed, member or a non member friends in ways indescribable.

How I live my faith

Before I came on my Mission I had a calling as a Young Single Adult (YSA) Representative in my ward and invited other YSAs to institute and other activities. However, I went out with the missionaries from all over my home stake area and brought friends from my old six form as well as my job at a supermarket to church and taught many of my friends and people I met on the streets or on buses that I made friends with and wanted to know more about the church. I have a good relationship with my church leaders such as my home mission president and previous temple president. I enjoyed going home teaching with my bishop and checking up on the families and other members, I also enjoyed checking up on the friends I had baptised and helping them or making sure that they knew about other church activities coming up.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Jared Luke Dunne
Mormons live in a way which attracts and brings happiness to our selves and others. Our lives are centred around family and Jesus Christ. We as members of the church have a desire to help others and to help them have the happiness we have: which is because of our love for the plan of salvation, the Temple, Service, Family history , Family home evenings, The priesthood, etc. As a member there's always activity to be going to and goals to make which only go higher and higher which will bring our family's closer together and help us individually in ways we didn't know it could.
