Hi I'm Mau

It's all about friendship! Mexico native, California raised. I love tennis. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I immigrated to the United States when I was 8 years old. I love America and the great diversity found here, specially in California. I love listening to different genres of music and my favorite sport is tennis. Both watching professional tennis and playing it for fun. I find great passion in continuously learning new things and meeting new people - doing so helps me expand my vision beyond the world around me. Spending time with friends and family is my favorite pastime as it allows me to share my life and experiences with people I love and care about. I have been called to serve in the Nevada, Las Vegas mission. This stage of my life has been the absolute best so far and I am thrilled to continue in the gospel and covenant path. My favorite subject in school was English but I aspire to be a psychiatrist one day which is why I plan to attend college at BYU once I return from my mission to study Bio-psychology. In the process, I hope to also obtain a minor in English for fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to be like my Savior Jesus Christ. The Gospel helps me live a life of righteousness and constant self-improvement which are attributes I deeply value. Through living the Gospel, I have been blessed to find eternal friendships with people who I love and admire, and who I also have fun and laugh with. My family is enriched by the blessings we receive when we work together to follow Jesus Christ. We have been able to create a stronger bond that allows us to withstand the storms that hit. I know the Gospel of Christ is true. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I'm eternally thankful that these things have been restored on Earth by a true prophet of the Lord and thankful we continue to have prophets today. Knowing I am a Child of God, that Christ lives, and that the Holy Ghost can be my constant companion, as well as so much more, means the universe to me for it makes life a joy to live!

How I live my faith

I find great humility in leading and serving others. My favorite calling has been serving as the ward representative for my stake's Youth Council. In Youth Council, we plan awesome events for the stake youth such as dances, youth conferences, camp outings, or simply Tuesday night activities. I also love hometeaching as it has prepared me to serve a mission. My hometeaching companion is one of the Patriarch's in my stake and I learn a lot from him. Serving within my Boy Scout troop has also been a fulfilling experience, taking on leadership roles including Senior Patrol Leader. Through these callings, I've found the importance of making decisions through councils and learning the value of teamwork!
