Hi I'm Mark

I grew up in Utah. I love music and play guitar. I love my family and making new friends.

About Me

I am the father of 7 children with 30 grandchildren. I've lived in Utah, Idaho, Kansas and California. I attended the University and worked for a major insurance company for 41 years. I have also been a high school basketball official and worked six State championship games. I have played and taught guitar for over 50 years, and have been in a number of musical groups. While employed, I helped develop and deliver a professional Leadership Development Program in association with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library/Museum.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the age of 11, but did not regularly attend until I was a young married adult. At that time I read the Book of Mormon and came to the understanding that it was indeed, the word of God. I found more purpose and meaning in my life as I studied it and applied its teaching daily. Being an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and living a gospel centered life brings greater peace and blessings than one can ever imagine.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in a leadership role for a congregation of 18 to 31 year-old young single adults. I have taught gospel instruction at church to all age groups. I have many years of experience administering youth and adult sports programs for the Church. I also currently have an assignment watching over the needs of several families who are members of my local congregation. I read the scriptures daily and try to do my very best when and wherever I'm asked to serve. I work to improve myself and try to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ every day.
