Hi I'm Cynthia

I grew up in Utah and Georgia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, friend and individual. I enjoy being with family, gardening, walking, reading, learning, music, piano, nature, family history, sports and life.

Why I am a Mormon

Here is part of my testimony that I wrote for my family: I have always had a testimony of Jesus Christ and as a young child knew that the teachings of the Gospel were true. I love the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon and reading from these teachings from Heavenly Father is part of my daily life. I am thankful for my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know that it is true. I am thankful for prophets that help to guide us. I am thankful for the Temple and the sealing power, peace and comfort found within its holy walls. Most of all I am thankful that families can be together forever! My wish for my children, grandchildren and those to come is for a happy life, a life filled with finding joy even when going through the trials that always come. Always be humble for everything we enjoy is through the grace of God. Always be kind for everyone you know is also going through hard times. Always try to be a good citizen because you are blessed to live in this free country and many sacrificed much for this freedom. Always continue learning, a good mind is a blessing so fill it with good things. Fill your hearts with love and service and truth and duty and a reverence for all things sacred and holy. Always try to be patient. Sometimes this is hard and takes practice. Always remember to pray. Prayer is the key to the day and the lock to the night. Our Heavenly Father is always there to hear your prayers. He will answer them. Someone once said, “May today bring peace within. May you trust your highest power that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May you use those gifts that you have received and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content knowing you are a child of God. Let His presence settle into your bones and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of you.”

How I live my faith

Because I have lived a few years, I have had many opportunities to serve in Church and Community callings. I have had callings to serve with the youngest to the oldest members of our Church and learned to love each opportunity I have been given. I have served on a City Historic Commission and enjoyed associations within my community.
