Hi I'm Gavriel

I come from the Philippines. I am a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love basketball and mountain biking. I am currently in my 1st year of college taking up BS Information Technology Entrepreneurship. I didn't have a solid group of friends growing up and I'm just starting to find one now. I studied in an all-boys school during my secondary education, which was handled by another religion. I love my family and I cherish the friends that I do have. I have been the victim of bullying several times. My passion is teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to a Mormon household. Despite of this, I still wondered at some point. Was all that I believed in real? Is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints really the only true church of the Savior? The answer that I got for both questions was a resounding yes! Did it come immediately? No. It took a lot of hard work, dedication, and perseverance to be able to come to that conclusion. I am still in the process of being converted to His church, but I know it is true. I may not understand everything, but I understand enough.

How I live my faith

I regularly attend church every Sunday. In school, however I am tempted, I do not join in on discussions that will not make my spirituality increase. In the weekdays, I go to Gospel classes. I also have two callings in our ward, an investigator's class teacher and the secretary of the Young Men organization. It is a joy to be able to live out my passion. In my first calling, I teach those who are not members of our church basic doctrines and principles that Mormons believe in. In my second one, I keep track of the attendance of boys ages 12-17 and also get to teach them. I know God recognizes my passions and puts them to use in the advancement of His plan for us.
