Hi I'm Makenzie

I'm from Utah. I love music, whether it's just listening, learning new songs on the piano, or singing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Playing the piano and singing are some of my favorite things to do. I also love volleyball and soccer, as well as hiking. I love to learn and history is my favorite subject, but I also enjoy biology.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of my life, and although I've always known the gospel, I haven't always (and still don't) know everything there is to know. But I do know the simple things. I know that I have a Savior who loved me enough to come to Earth and suffer for all the mistakes I've ever made and will ever make. I know that He would have done it for me, and for me alone. But the great thing is, he did it for everyone! I know that Jesus Christ loves me and that He lives. I know that my Father in Heaven lives. I know that although the world is sometimes dark and confusing, that if I will do the simple things that are asked of me, that I will have peace and light in my life. I am grateful that I have the opportunity to become better everyday through the Atonement, even if I just make small improvements. I know that we all can have the chance to live with our families forever if we will live our lives in accordance with the gospel. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet, that he translated the Book of Mormon, and that he restored the church to the Earth. I know that Russell M. Nelson is our prophet on the Earth today and that he truly receives revelation for all the world. I also know that by following his teachings I will become so much closer to my Heavenly Father. In short, I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the truly the one true church, and I have learned this by living its principles both the easy way, and the hard way. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I am grateful for the many different opportunities I've been given to serve both my community and the other members of my church. I have participated in many different councils and presidencies in church at different levels while I was in my youth groups, and I have also had the amazing experience of teaching the 7 & 8 year olds!
