Hi I'm Katelyn

I'm Katelyn, i was raised in the church but have my own conversion story and I AM A MORMON.

About Me

I love people. All i ever want to do is talk to people and hear their stories and why they do what they do. Understanding and connecting to people is my biggest passion. I am currently serving a full-time mission as a sister of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Something i love is working with the special needs community. I taught preschool for special needs children for 8 months and worked in the special ed program all throughout high school. I love to travel. Me and my family have taken a big trip somewhere every year since i can remember. There are seven people in my family. My four siblings and i, and my parents. I love my family and the stronghold we are together and am so grateful for the eternity i get to spend with them!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but i did fall away for a while. Life is hard. We all go through trials that test us and push us to our very limits. That is both what pushed me away, and brought me back! I noticed the difference between having the light of the gospel in my life, and not having it. This world can be a very dark and dangerous place and i started realizing that the good in this world was too pure and beautiful to be of the world. It had to be something higher! So i started reading the scriptures and building my testimony from scratch and not from what people kept telling me and all i felt was truth and happiness. I have never loved anything more than i love this gospel. It is what makes the sun shine and give light to the world. It brings so much peace and happiness and pure, everlasting joy. God is real. He loves all of us because we are His. That will never change. Not today, tomorrow, or three million years from now. His love is priceless with no returns and that alone is what makes this gospel so incredible.

How I live my faith

I've always been closer to the older people of my wards. So i usually help to teach classes during church if they need help, babysit their kids when needed, volunteer for activities, and i love to share my testimony in class and anywhere else when the spirit guides me to do so.
